Review Monthly ‘Sporting’ competitions including a ‘Pool Shoot’ are held at Forrest Estate Shooting Ground as well annual charity events. The basic format and minimum prizes for this competition are listed above but may be subject to change dependant on the final event sponsor. Please return to check out the final details for this particular competition. Competitions will run over two classes, ‘Clay Shooters’ and ‘Game Shooters’. Competitions start at 11.30am and last entries are at 3.30pm however the shooting ground is open from 10.00am until 11.30am for practice and non competitive entries. Filled rolls and snacks are available (12 – 2pm) plus complimentary tea / coffee is available all day. Fortnightly ‘Pay and Play’ days are also held therefore the shooting ground is open every two weeks throughout the summer months. Private bookings / lessons are also available. The atmosphere is very relaxed and ladies, juniors and novices are more than welcome and guns and cartridges can be provided along with basic tuition (10am – 11.30am only on competition days). Full lessons by qualified APSI instructors (Association of Professional Shooting Instructors) are now available however these must be pre booked. Forrest Estate is a unique sporting clay ground consisting of 15 shooting locations with a total of 34 shooting stands providing the ideal opportunity to test your ability on simulated game such as springing teal, high pheasant or bolting rabbit. Try our exciting 'Olsen Pheasant Drive' with 8 individual stands presenting high challenging simulated pheasant flushes.
